Ryan,
Yes that old dirty truck is an 02 3/4 hd with the big block, Best truck I have ever had.

i want the new serria 2500 HD with the duramax. i might just buy one in the next six months or so:rolleyes:

Ryan,Dodge is the ticket right now.The new Cummins is just to sweet man:D .I got a 96 F250 4X4 Ford diesel that I hopped up it is sweet to,but man the Cummins can make so much more power though. The Duramax's are great but had some problems in the begining.Just my 2 cents nothing more:D

Why???The trucks are not the issue the engine is what I am referring to:D Go to my web site to see a bad diesel truck. But either way get a diesel you want be sorry:D

I do think a diesel is the way to go if you put a lot of miles on a truck, But IMO for a guy like me I will stick with the gas job I only put about 10,000 miles a year on mine,
Diesels are made to run, not do town hopes and shut them down.

Ryan from what i have see around my area (if i was going with gas motor) Go with the 6.0 with the 5 speed Alison auto. Great tranny so far and the 6.0 kicked butt in the stock 4x4 truck pulls.

Dave, your right the allison trans is only behind the 8.1 and 6.6.

Ryan, your to the 6.0 won't pull enough. My dad bought one thinking it could pull our race cars.He knows now though:D

Just something to think about...

I know a guy who has a 2002 8.1 with the allison. He babies it. Anyway, the truck has less than 8k on it and has problems with the tranny. The thing is, nobody knows how to work on them and information isn't readily available. Its been to the dealer three times now. Its also on the second tranny, and still has problems.

As for the 8.1, he said that it continuously burns oil. Two and a half quarts every 2000 miles. I talked to a friend of mine who knows a service manager at the same dealer. The service manager showed him a tech sheet from GM, stating that the motors are supposed to burn that much oil.

I'm not anti GM. In fact just the opposite. If it were my money, I'd take a 2500 HD crew cab with the Duramax. I rode in one in November. It was like a Cadillac. Moved pretty good too.

ruff ruff ruff meow...Nice dog Mark..I don't know if you guys really like this thread or not I just thought it would be a good place to share your pics with eveyone was it a bad idea or what ???

Later Rob..

Hate to break it you Rob but that dog is ready for another life. If you look close enough you can see the tumors near his ribs. I never walk him on a leash in hopes he either runs away or somebody gives him a better home. My Girl loves him but as soon as the ground thaws my cousin a vet will be over to read him his last rights.

He was my first dog I finished to become a Master Hunter, I was stupid by sending him out in freezing water to retrieve way to much. He was a bold dog with desire to please of a frieght train.I have bred him with a few dogs and have 2 of his off spring. The only thing he can retrieve now is a piece of cheese.

I have postd a few pics of him lately,I guess I am getting ready to say good bye to my best friend. I can say this he has given me unconditional love for many years. No matter what has happen in my life he's always there.

Here's a pic of his first litter he sired, this pup in the pic is my wonder dog Mitzy.
