And there you go...

I would buy a Pooplaun saw before a Shindazilla.

Gary

I'd like to have a shinntaco. At least the green one would match my toolbox......

Might make a good color for a rental fleet....Can't imagine anyone trying to steal a neon purple saw....

:ices_rofl:

Not to take thunder from Troll,But what ive read only it seems Shinny saws rev a little lower, but dont lack power.A tree co near me uses them and swear by them for use by multiple users.Their new back pack blower the EB8510,is a 4 stroke and reports to put out 762 cfm from an 80 cc engine.they make a good product, but availablity is limited.;)

not sure if you are serious or not but will answer as though this was a non smart azz question.

Shindaiwa build great ODPE. A lot of the pro lawn services use them. I think however thay have a problem with disribution a lot like Solo. Their small saws seem to be right up there in quality with Echo. I have not worked on one in the last couple years but the ones I have worked on before were quite nice.

Please dont compare the quality with Echo, it is of a lot better quality than that.

thanks Dean

et all, sounds like a dealer issue, I have a very good dolmar dealer near me, but no shinnys, maybe others have the opposite situation.

like I said, heard of them, never laid eyes on one.

someone compared them to echo weedeaters and such. hmm, IMO, echo has the best weedeaters out there, smooth and powerful. if shinny makes a better one than echo, they're doing something. 4 stroke blowers? and what? dolmar makes a 4 stroke leaf blower. telling someone about your leafblower is pretty close to showing off your new gas can. we talk saws here!

OK guys and gal(s), sorry to bust your balloons, but Shindaiwa only makes chainsaws in one color: red. :yoyo: I was just pulling everyone's leg with those GIMPed up color versions. It actually started by accident, I was editing the 446s photo for my website, and I saved it and somehow the file got corrupted and the picture lost all the red coloring, and instead turned a deep blue. I thought, "Wow, that looks pretty sharp!" And realistic, too. Then I thought it would be a good joke to play, so I popped it back into GIMP and toned out the red and added the different colors.
So, get back to work and don't go asking your dealer for a purple 446s!

My wife's REALLY p.o. at you. Now she wont get her designer saw. Of course now that the bug has bitten she may make me paint one.
