BoiseRedDevil: You really don't want to waste any time foolin' around with that dirty old white one with the kinda angular triangular designs.... It's probably the worst one in the whole lot....

Just to help you out.... I guess I'd maybe be willin' ta pay the shippin' for it down here to New Mexico.... or maybe my buddy Chuck might be coming down here from Ontario later this summer.... he might load a few of 'em in his truck and bring 'em down.... save on gas and kinda minimize the losses that a bunch of dirty old saws like that represent.... :hmm3grin2orange:

Let me know if ya need someone ta help ya get rid of some of 'em....

Pretty cool, man. Congrats.

When you get around to the Remingtons, would ja mind tracing the bumper spike for me? My "new" 754 is toothless.

Looking at your sig...

I have a 28" or 24" roller tipped remmington bar. I don't know what your bantam had but this was running .404

Are the recoil parts missing from your 754? In the past ones I've seen just need the whole thing assembled just so... and an extra quick pull to engage the flywheel. Not the best design.

i am thinkin about if i want to sell any of them... ill b sure to let u guys know :) thanx for all your input.

It always amazes me when these old saws are talked about how someone will say.........

They aint worth much.

How many collectors could there be?

Those saws are no longer usable.

Only to have the poster begged to sell them.

The "Golden Logmaster" is at the same time the ugliest and most sought after Remington saw going. Strip it, paint it and find a Silver Logmaster to sit next to it and you have a nice collection of saws started.

I personally would like to find a Remington Super 990.

Good deal you got, Congrats!

Now go get some running and dig up the 16:1 thread and post them puppies doing some work.

This is much shorter, but is a .404 One of th e754s came with a solid tip bar and a 3/8 chian, loosely assembled. The chain did NOT fit the sprocket, but the larger 404 did. Thus, the bar and chain that came with the Bantam are on the 754 #2 that needs recoil parts.

The 754 recoil needs a new spring, one friction washer, the spur/dog assembly, the large flat washer, and circlip. The Bantam needs all recoil parts except the housing and rope spool, and now a bar and chain.

Good buy ;).

Save working on the David Bradley for the very last, as the DBs aren't worth much. BTW the Wright reciprocating saw wasn't designed for cutting logs, it was meant to be used on finished timber, just like the modern electric reciprocating saws.
