I just got this Husqvarna 55 off ebay. It’s a 1998, sticker says Husqvarna 55 51cc. The jug has the +++++ on the bottom….. is it a closed port?
PC look good to me. Starts right up, idles, great throttle response. Just need a good bar and chain and I think I might have a good one 🤷‍♂️

I, too, am a big fan of these saws. Especially, for the homeowner who will be buying one clamshell saw, or another, if they don't buy a 50/51/55.

As you run it, be careful to pay attention to signs of air leaks. Older saws with unknown-seal-history are always subject to leaks.

I like them with 18" .325 bar/chains. Have had them commonly buried in hardwood...and, pulled fine. Beech and yellow birch....both, quite hard.

I am actually a Stihl guy...but, do run, and appreciate, these saws.
