I've still got my good old non-eco groovy one. And I'll blow anyone who gets near it straight back to hell!

Heya Mr. Thankee for havin me over today, twas a good time
ALSO, what the hell is a pig spout

EDIT: got it, I found a way to modify the ones you buy locally to where they work damn good, the ones on the combo can in the back of my rig were home-fixed

Good having you by Jake.....we still call them jugs. Pigs, Doobars.....another regional thing I guess.

Stoopid CARB. Where does California get off dictating air quality laws in Washington, anyway?

Just wait. Gas station operators down here can be fined if they allow anyone to fill "non-compliant containers". Local fire departments can cite them, as can the police. I haven't heard of it actually happening yet but they must have got somebody's attention because:

According to the gentleman who came roaring out of the 7-11, sandals flapping, turban unwinding in his wake, waving his arms and screaming at me in a high pitched gibberish that took a while to translate, non-compliant containers include gypo jugs. I promised I would never ever do it again.

Do the Fruit Cops check that stuff at the border?

I've been tempted to also haul a bunch of "Not For Sale In CA" lawnmowers south. Just because.

They don't check anything but fruit, vegetables, and hay.

We used to sneak up to K-Falls or Ashland and load up on goodies not available in California...like decent gas cans. No more.

Now I just keep a couple of CARB compliant gas cans visible in the back the pickup in case some over zealous civil servant decides to check. The gypo jugs and outlaw cans...they stay out of sight.

you can drill the back side of your can and install a valve stem assembly the make an install tool looks like a T handle wrench made out of cable, remove the valve core and you got a vent, then gut the spout and toss the spring should work ok. Or just haunt the junk stores and garage sales and snatch up all the old style cans ya can.

For years I didn't know "Dolmar" was a saw manufacturer's name. Always knew it as the name of a dual fuel/oil jug made of red plastic.

I had a hooker one day come up to me that needed to go back to the road for some reason...asked me if I needed anything while he was there...about out of gas and needed to finish up a little piece. I told him to grab the other dolmar out of my truck. Back he comes with no dolmar, said he couldn't find that saw anywhere.........so I just started calling them jugs......

You're living in a science fiction novel!
