Great job on the 3270 Pioneer.I can see why you don't want to use it,far too much work to have it scratched up again.Another piece of history reclaimed!

Was tinkering around with one of the old Pioneers I have and pulled the muffler off it.I saw that the exhaust port had quite a bit of carbon in it.Can you bring the piston up to the top and scrape that carbon out of there without doing damage? I guess what I'm trying to say is,with the piston up to prevent any crap from falling in the cylinder and making sure you get all of the stuff out of the port before moving the cylinder again.Or is something that should not be done.
