Does anyone know where I can buy parts for my Pioneer P45. Or even a parts saw. Mine is still a good running saw. Hate to put her down.
Thanks

What do you need for parts? I still get Pioneer parts through my Poulan/Stihl dealer. A good dealer should be able to get parts as they are still available, at least in Canada.

I need the side cover for the flywheel side and the bottom mount that go's back to the throttle handle.
Thanks

Both parts should interchange from other pioneer/partner saws. I'll check my parts manuals when I get home tonight and will post the models that will interchange.

The bottom mount you can get from a P39Plus or a Poulan Pro 405. It is the same mount and I assume it is the new 30% glass-filled nylon mount. The old style magnesium mount will also fit and you have much more selection. Any regular P39, P41,P42 or farmsaw mount will fit and work. For the side cover, do you need just the plastic housing that the starter is part of, or do you need the complete thing with all the starter parts included? It seems to be a unique unit for that model, but I would think that a P41,P42 model could be made to fit. Not sure if the P45 is a bigger frame model than the P41,42 series or not. I don't think a complete starter assembly is available any longer, but parts may be still.

Checked my parts manuals today, and it looks like the cover for the P45 is the same as the P39 and Poulan Pro 405. All three are plastic one piece covers. The last price he has on the cover itself was $53.95, but that is several years old, so it is probably more now if it is available. I didn't have him check it out as I'm not sure you want to spend that much. Personally, I would look for a P41 or P42 if you can't find a P39 or 405. There were lots of P41's around and they will bolt up to the saw. You will have to drill a hole for the decompressor, but that isn't hard to do. The magnesium covers are much more durable than the plastic and should work ok. All the other parts should work from your starter. You can paint it with a spray bomb. I found the following automotive touch-up paint is almost identical to the Pioneer/Partner yellow. It is Sunrise Orange C8800519, and if I remember correctly it is an import car.
