Could anyone Please advise what Type of Hole Plugs to utilize when Powder Coating a Chainsaw, In this Case a H1991 Husky 55 Model Saw. The Plugs are to Cover or Fill the Bearing Holes which ar Recessed in Both sides of the Magnesium Alloy Crankcase where Crank Bearings Seat. As the Crankcase Housing should be Baked after Powder Coating Plugs would have to be Heat Resistant I would Assume

Why are you powder coating a chainsaw?
Thank You For the Amazon Information but these Plugs are Ok for Painting and Initial Powder Coating bu after Powder Coating is Completed, Parts have to be Put in an Oven and Heated to approx 200 Degrees so any Rubber or Synthetic Plusa will Melt

When I sent a rack for a motorcycle that I had made out for powder coating I asked how they masked off the areas I did not want coated. The guy told me they used heat resistant tape. No idea where to get it, because I've never searched for it. Those amazonian silicone plugs are described for powder coating applications.

If you are doing this yourself for the first time, be advised that it is NOT a good idea to use your wife's oven. A friend does small parts in his garage using an old electric oven and he says the smell will drive you out of the house.
