Hello all, I recently experimented with some dye on a 461 and ended up with this:
Thoughts? Do you think this look will increase its resale value?

Don't like it but ... each his own. I see themes of Holzfforma/ FarmerTec cross breeding.

Just a warning. I see you've asked a couple posts about dressing up used saws for resale value. Gives a poor message about your approach.

As buyer I want to see original condition of things. Not lipstick on a pig. Just please do right for your buyers. I'm out.

I guess it depends on how bad the original orange colour was?
It could be camera, but it reminds me of saws that have been on fire or too close to a fire and turned the colours black.
It may look better in person.

@woodman...I agree, OEM appearance is one if not the best way to evaluate a saw, or anything for that matter.
