hello!
has anyone used the jameson economy (green ) series poles?
i was looking to purchase 2 poles or so and would like to know if this is the way to go. i would like a fairly rigid pole like the dialectric foam filled jameson but am on a budget. any input would help since the poles are drastically cheaper than the others

I bought 3 cuz they were green (company color) from Sherril. Trying to move a rope with three sections?? They were like a wet noodle. I cant believe Jameson put thier name on those pieces of crap, anything for a dollar I guess. I use the Marvin orange poles lately- mostly just because thats what the nearest real "arborist supply house" sells. They are light and ridgid enough though to move 3 sections of 9/16 db braid though, so they suit my purposes. Mds.

Get the hollow ones if yer not gonna be near real power though, the foam ones are too heavy for residential pruning of large trees and such. And takedowns for that matter. Jmho.

I'm not a big fan of the orange ones. Through heavy foliage the snap has come undone on me a few times. PITA! A side by side comparison between the yellow ( never tried the green ) Jamesons and those orange jobbies will show you how crappy their snap is. Just my two cents.

i figure the utility grade polls would be an investment for the future. im currently working on my utility arb app so in the future i may need them
