got sick of that so i installed one on the furnace 2 days ago. problem is this old farm house requires so much heat that this humidifier cant keep up. humidistat is reading about 10% humidity. so i'm using the poor mans humifier with the furnace mounted humidifier. lol.

I put about 3 gallons of water into the air every day with our stove top pan. We used to have to run an electric humidifier before the stove.

We suffered for quite a few years during the wintertime heating with a woodfurnace, dry air, nose bleeds, sore throat, etc. We had a floor model whole house humidifier that used gallons of water a day, and it still was bad. As we've tightened up our home, humidity levels have increased. It's 10° right now with -16 chills, no humidifier and the humidity level is at 29%. Tightening up the home was the best thing I've ever done.

That's sucks man. I also installed one of those whole house Honeywell humidifiers and I used it a week and it's been unused for three years now. BS

I tried a whole house humidifier without any success. the humidity it put in the system seem to burn up when the air passed through the heat exchanger.

Hi guys! Is there anyone who could help me with my humidifier problem. My question is. Why is myhumidifier, making a noise? Thanks for the help.
