LIke others have said, 3-st gets really twisty when using lowering devices. Ive sold some in the past and suggested it for LIGHT loads (max 200) and for light pulling.
When you get to the heavy loads, go with a double braid. 5/8" is a good size to start with. It takes quite a load and still fits moderatly priced pulleys.
Yales Double Esterlon in 5/8" is rated at 16,800 average strength.
As for getting your money back, you could call Kumerling back yourself but chances are since you didnt buy it and youre going to strike out. Especially if you dont have the product info.
