Porting questions.

Another newbie question.

I read about ported saws a lot here and getting curious if it is hard to do. Is there a good web tutorial site about porting? What can be gained by having it done?

How much will it cost to have one done professionally?

What is the saw you are thinking about having this done on? What are you trying to achieve (racing? just performance?)

I am an occasional user and as mentioned...was just curious about it (having read about in so many times). I think my saws (in stock condition) has more than enough power to handle my needs for now.

I got some PM and learned that it is not a simple job...not for a newbie anyway and I am neither prepared to pay for it done nor needed on my intended use anyway.
