I can't tell that the new ones are much better than the old ones Doug.

I think they may be tuned a little better from the factory now though. Proper tune makes a huge difference in this unit.
Can you tell me what sealant to use on the tranfers covers it looks like you opened them up

Darn okay thanks for the heads up
Which 201 T you working on regular carb or Mtronic?
If it's the regular carb model just advance the timing 8 degrees and open up the exhaust then tune the carb and this should satisfy your needs for more power. PS you prob have to drill out the H limiter or however you can to get access to the H jet.

Carb style 😎 i do mtronics as well they don't seem to be very happy past the 3 degree range

Stihl uses Dirko. Stihl dealer that does repair should have some.

You can use Hondabond or Yamabond . Whoever services those ATV's should have some.
I use 518 for my base gaskets so your saying they use dirko to seal the outside transfers up?

I thought you were asking about base gasket.
No. Dirko won't glue on side covers.
I didn't think so... I was fixing to say how they have to use an epoxy on the side only thing high temp would be jb weld high temp high vibration epoxy...

I've that's the first thing I do and you guys are awesome sharing the knowledge im basically in the transfer now due too my reductions on the base I'm trying to get compressions in the 185psi and 195 range and smooth power band I also run only premixed container fuel so they smell and burn great 🫡
Keep in mind that high of compression is a bitch to pull when in a tree.

I upgraded my pull start system to an elasto start entire thing is so worth it I've done about 7 of these saws and I just keep getting meaner and meaner with em if you run the stock standard setup from 2012 yea I agree your left arm is longer than the right arm at some times that's why I switched best 60 buck I ever spent
