The “worms” are the larvae of wood-boring beetles.Anyone know what these little beggers are? They seam to stay there under the bark forever

Not sure what they morph into.Are they like the big black beetles, about the size of your thumb, that we find under Oak bark? When you pick them up they vibrate and buzz, quite loud, Joe.
