OK, I struck-out on the local guy for the rings.
I will try some of the suggestions provided by the members here.
Thank you to everyone who sent links or provided information.
I will keep this post going as I find parts and get more photos...

If you have confirmed your width, thickness and bore (at bottom of skirt), call OTTO GAS ENGINE WORKS 410-398-7340 for your rings at $5 apiece if you file for the pins and $8 apiece if you get Dave to file for them. Mans' name is Dave Reed, nice fella.

Hello Group,
I have a poulan 54 that I bought on ebay.
It is a bowsaw...COOL!!!
I want to restore this chainsaw I broke it down yesterday and I need first of all a Piston with rings. If you have information on where I can find parts or you have a running saw that needs a new home please post HERE......
I have restored the bar and chain already... + rebuilt the recoil unit on the starter.
Thank you in advance for any help...

I think you have a Poulan 54 instead of a 44. The 44 is a tan in color sandcast and might, in all probability, have an orange recoil cover.
