BTW I also have one of these saws my spouse bought me on a close out for $75. It’s a great little saw and lighter than my Husky 51. I burn 5.5 full cords every winter and both saws have been trouble free. ✊ on wood! Lol

Gasoline without ethanol. Do a search for your location for stations that sell it. Usually 89-91 octane and I use it in all my non automotive engines! Doesn’t go stale or cause gumming in fuel systems. It even helps cold starts, quicker.

Never heard alcohol free gas described as recreational before. In Canada, if you buy the highest octane premier fuel at the pumps, it's alcohol free. The problem we have is the selection is done at the pump and the hose from the pump to the nozzle is full of whatever fuel the previous customer selected so you have to dump the first liter of gas into your vehicle before filling a small container or you might be getting some alcohol.

They call it recreational fuel or REC fuel here. They sell it for boats and ATV s and other recreational vehicles. Around here it's all 90 octane ethonol free.

Yep and most stations have a separate pump. I use 5 gallon cans and always use Seafoam so no issues here. My Redmax blower is temperamental in the spring and if I add Seafoam it clears up. I believe it’s the Echo oil mix and just switched to a different brand and full synthetic. Time will tell!

Some here have separate pumps, some don't. I stopped at a small station that has a separate pump but you had to go in and pay first. I told the young girl how many gallons I wanted. She said I can't set the pump for a gallon amount only a dollar amount. So I had to get my phone out and calculate it up to tell her the dollar amount. What do they teach kids in school nowadays. I drive out of the way to a station beside a boat dealership near the lake that has 3 pumps of it. I feel like it's fresher and you can use a card in the pump. I also use Seafoam in my mixed gas and switched to dominator for my oil.

I use ethanol free, and Amsoil saber professional at 50:1 in all my small engines. I had quite a conversation with tech line at Amsoil trying to decide because the dominator is much easier to find at motorcycle shops and such. He said they both have similar anti wear and detergent additives but that the dominator has more additives for motorcycles and snowmobile that have exhaust power valves to keep deposits for forming in the power valves. However the additives do require a heavier load and higher operating temperature to function properly or they can form deposits. A saw running full load that shouldn’t be a problem. However I also use it in strimmer and blower and several observed trials motorcycles that run at fairly light loads most of the time so I went with the saber as my final conclusion. Been using it for years, no issues on deposits or unusual wear at tear downs.
I run 50 to one in all of the small handheld engines, 60:1 in air cooled trials motorcycles, and 80:1 in the water cooled trials motorcycles. I would never run 100 to one as advertised in anything.
