Less than one year old from how long ago? There are very few of those saws in this area, maybe that's why Poulan went belly up?

Too many Stihl and Husqvarna saws available at that price...

That saw will pretty much run right with a MS360 and a Husky 359 in stock configuration. I have one that is ported and is really my favorite saw. After I built it I sold the MS360 because the 330 is more comfortable for me to run.

Is it worth the money, HELL YEAH IT IS. That saw was last produced around 2008 and represents the last actual pro model saw that Poulan ever produced. It is 54cc and far superior to anything else built in that class such as MS290 and 455 Rancher. It has split cases, adjustable oiler, and very solid construction.

Do a muffler mod and that is all it needs to be a really good firewood saw.

thanks guys when i can get some extra cash up i will snag it because the seller said no one is biting on it

Listen to those who own and have run these. I have 3, I prob reach for these sWs the most. I also have the 60cc versions: the pp 365 and super pro 380. Power to weight is right on for meimage.jpg

And for that price neither of the two brands mentioned will touch this saw in most cases.

Not sure I agree....I've found more than a couple pro level saws for roughly the same price and cheaper, just have to be willing to look.

Anyway, not trying to derail the thread. Throw him a offer, you should be able to get the saw for $125-150.

I know all about a deal...I have had over 400 saws of my own and alot of them were deals. On occasion one can find a 70cc pro saw and larger for this price and thats what it will take to find a better saw. This is a 54cc PRO saw that looks to be barely used for under 200 bucks. I call that a very good deal once the big two goggles are removed.

thanks stephen i plan to do something about the spikes as they are a little long but not at this present time.
even though this saw is going to be primarily for bucking or felling, i use my smaller saws for limbing.

well i can always remove the bucking spike can't i, i don't really use them anyway i usually just let the saw go at its own pace.

Not trying to derail the thread, but how would a Poulan Pro 262 compare? I know its a little smaller at 42cc, but is it as well regarded as the 330? I saw one in the local shops today, and the price was pretty cheap. I noticed it has a primer bubble, and didn't look very old....
