A fellow that travels around the countryside just dropped off a running Poulan Pro 415...it looks interestingly like the Jonsered 2077/2085...he said he didnt want the lump back...lol...anyone ever use one? I will have a look at it when I get time...next month...

Husky..like i said...make me an offer (plus shipping)...Tomorrow I will rip off the muffler..look at the piston....the muffler is loose right now and missing a baffle...I will let you know the shape tomorrow...if i can get rid of it reasonable...but still cheap and quick,....it will go...or I can build the darn thing...lol...

I was in my workshop this a.m., and looked thgrough all my old junk; I've got one of those ITC service manuals, and the 415 internal engine parts look like the 2077/2083. I think the oiler drive is probably fitted on the crankshaft, so it runs all the time, not like the clutch-driven unit on the jonsy. AS well, the displacement is listed as 65 cc, so I wonder if Poulan Pro has a skinny little piston and cyl, and isn't just begging for transplant.

I think you should "tweak" it, and use it to frighten old ladies and horses who expect a sedate little poulan that would harm no-one...

The 2077,2083 saw where actually designed by Partner but they never built any to my knowledge. Before they set up production on them Electrolux bought them out with the rights to build the saw.

Some real curious things happened in those formative years of the Electrolux empire. Several good saw models stopped and a few poorer ones came along. I personally hated to see the Partner stuff go. I had as good of customer satisfaction from that brand as about anything. Next closest were the orange Echos.

Mike, and everyone...thanks...I was pretty sure the second I saw it....I decided to give it to my brother today, as he is goin to clean it up while looking after my store tomorrow and Saturday while I am in the sunny USA ....

I have been practicing my axe throwing as well today so i can try that event...

food.

Hey Dennis, while your at it practicing the axe throw, why dont you practice chainsaw golfing starting with that 415 you are trying to pawn off on some unsuspecting buyer?
