Poulan Pro 4218 muffler mod difference

One plus on longevity for the Poulan wild thing. I purchased a home owner wild thing for my son to cut the brush around his house 25+ years ago. It’s still running great. He cut brush piles the size of ranch houses. He fuels it with left over dirtbike mix. It’s super maxima at 32:1. When he started cleaning up my land in vt I got him a new husky 460 and gave him a good running husky 570. Now he’s like as happy as a race horse out of the gate. The wild thing is still running,

Agree on the missing pictures. Would love to see what these guys are talking about!

GeorgiaVol , PP4218 and motoguy , spacing the front plate off of the front of the muffler will help . I would try a piece of 1/8" diameter or 3/16" diameter bar bent to a U shape to fit under the front plate .
