Powder coated my 346xp and 562xp Lollipop Blue. Looks alright maybe kinda...........

Did it just because. Cost was $15.00 per saw. I do know that if they are ever stolen I will be able to spot them right away on a pawn shelf or on Ebay.

It is actually a 2 coat process, they first applied a silver base then a candy blue top. In the sun it's pretty cool looking. Thanks for the comps!

I painted the aluminum of the wrap handle of the 346xp I'm fixing. I went with navy blue. I thought about doing the clutch cover in the same color. Maybe I will go ahead and paint it before I put the saw back together. Mine won't look nearly as good as a powder coat job, especially after using the saw for a while.

I saw a Buell cycle that was orange and purple and it looked good to me , I think the blue is good as well. I like your saws and the bars are shined up nice as well.

Why didn't you just PC them orange? That would be non-standard color too.

That's a great color to paint any forestry tool , not a natural color so it can't blend in and will always stand out unless completely buried .
Try and find a dirty orange felling lever that you laid on the ground 10 trees ago in a hardwood stand during the fall :frown: .

Just like Hank mentioned, the first thing that came to my mind when I put them back together was that I had just created the WildthingXP (not that there is anything wrong with that. :biggrin The good news is that they still run awesome and make me money. I just cut down a Red Oak Saturday that was leaning onto a clients house and the handling of both saws seemed to be unaffected by the new color.

Orange and red soon enough becomes camo colors in the woods! :msp_ohmy:
