Would Sawtroll vomit all over his computer screen if I powder coated the chainsaw bars yellow to cap it all off?:msp_tongue:

Now is that Fugly as in I wouldn't do her without a six pack of Beer in me or is it, I wouldn't do her without a case Jack Daniels in me?

It would have to be a 6 pack, anything more than 1/3 of a bottle of JD and i'm TKO'd for the night.:smile-big:

I don't think Sawtroll, would mind the yellow addition to the saw.

I would think he would have commented on whether or not the specific gravity of the two part (silver then blue) powder coating you did on the cover would have effected the "sideways balance", as weight is usually his first go to complaint about anything related to a saw. When most people can't feel the difference between a 1 pound's range of difference, he can feel things down to the ounces and then how much different things like outboard clutches and inboard clutches effect the sideways balance, basically he's on a whole other level of "feelings" then the average user, which is somewhat odd, when you figure he is a non-user of most of the things he complains about.

My first and last experience with one of those Honda 500's was a friend's highly modded one on a rock parking lot. Lets just say, I almost left a brown stripe down the back of the blue seat, LOL.

Cool Looking paint job !!!

Did it just because. Cost was $15.00 per saw. I do know that if they are ever stolen I will be able to spot them right away on a pawn shelf or on Ebay.

Cool looking paint job!
I Like it! It's different!

I know guys will Poo-Poo this whole idea, but hey WTF ! :msp_tongue:

(Will that paint/powder-coat job LAST)? Won't it chip off, with use, banging it around out in the woods, etc? :msp_ohmy:

- How about Imron, aircraft paint? Wouldn't that last

I was thinking of 'dressing up my Husky 372XP by painting the cylinder, especially the fins, with high temp [bright silver] aluminum paint.
It would almost look "chromed".
- I was considering having the cylinder chromed, but a friend said that it would co$t too much...?

This would not take away any of the 'heat dissapation' that those "heat-sink" fins provide, would it??? :msp_confused:

I like your idea of painting/dressing up your saw!

Have a good Sunday!

I had beaten up my 346 with use and my 562 with dumb-ass-ery. I like to keep my equipment looking decent so the $15.00 to powder coat was a pretty easy decision, going with Blue was just to see what it would look like. I would think this 2 coat finish will wear as good as the factory but time will tell. What I really would like to try is anodizing but in the end they are work saws and don't want to get to carried away with it all.

PC work looks nice.
You should check out some of the newer low temp powders you maybe be able to do the plastics also.
I've done some wood and under the hood plastic goodies so far.

Sorry dude but I'd take the silver over that any day. That looks horrible.

I must of been in a bad mood last night. Sorry but the Colts releasing Peyton and half their team has me hating blue right now. It isnt something that I would choose to do to my saws but still unique!

One thing I knew when I posted the pictures was to not take any comments personally. I just had fun with the whole thing and got to tease Sawtroll a little (everyone needs a hobby). Truthfully I expected to get harsher comments than what was posted, it's a chainsaw thing. All comments welcomed.

You port that thing yet?

I wish I owned that bike! I just used the picture to demonstrate color choices that may or may not make Sawtroll ill. My bike is a little tamer but still Red.:msp_biggrin:
