I'm looking for a power head only for a pole chain saw and a hedge trimmer type attachment to use for ground work. Dont need string trimmer

I found this 27cc sthil

Does Husqvarna , Echo, or other good brands sell a powerhead only with no attachments? .........Husqvarna's web site sucks, i cant find anything

I do not need to waste money on string trimmer/ weed wacker attachment because I have two very good string trimmers already (husky and echo)

there are likely gearbox and bar or hedge trimmer assemblies for what you have as a string trimmer. It may be a bit harder to get the splines or square drive shaft or cable to line up when you switch them. I put a string trimmer head on my Stihl ht250 pole pruner, slide the rubber for the hand hold forward and attach a hoop handle.

I have a older Husky 232l weed whacker, has 31cc motor , not made for attachments
My Echo is srm2400, not made for attachment nidder/ nuttin'

.Price factor is another, probably cheaper $$ to get a new kombi type head and a compatible hedge and pole saw attach

At one point I bought a Husky brushcutter maybe around 2002 35cc clam shell type engine 235 something like that. I was at the shop talking about a pole saw attachment and he had the short pole and gearbox/bar for the Husky equivelant of kombi and said just take the head off the shaft. Since it did have bike handles I ended up just buying a pole saw elsewhere. Likewise, the Stihl dealer I had to argue with him to order me the string trimmer or brush cutter gearbox off the FS 250 sheet instead of selling me the kombi set up which was lighter duty. and just not use the shaft part.

I watched a vid of a dude using a hedge trimmer attachment and used it like a weed whacker/ brush cutter. Looked like it worked real good.

Has anyone used a hedge trimmer for heavy / tall wheat type weeds?

If it works good seems like it would not fling debri and rocks all over the place like a high RPM weed whacker and you would not have to dress up in bullet proof, battle, safety equipment and bullet proof glass face protector
