or just get 372 :jester:

Yes, but it is about another halv pound heavier, even though Husky won't admit it......

I don't have a 365, as I see little point in having that model, but the weight difference between the 361 and 372 are indeed notisable, and larger than the specs indicate (not a surprise for me).......:biggrinbounce2:

Over here they cost about 900 USD, about 150 more for the "W", and that is a bargain, compared to some other saws .........

FYI to any considering this saw, the seller said he wouldn't take paypal, just money order. I wouldn't have a problem sending a money order to AS users, but not someone I don't know.

The rest of the story:
We went back and forth via email for ten hours yesterday. The seller assured me that he sells 'all the time' on eBay, and only accepts Money Orders. He also demands that said MO be shipped via Priority Mail. When pressed, he offered to accept the funds via Western Union.

I asked for his eBay user ID and he provided two. One shows a Florida location with a +3 rating and no transactions since 5/2005. The other account has a North Carolina address, a +14 rating and no transactions since 2/2006.

The seller originally told me that the best offer he'd received was $175. When I started to get cold feet, he stated that he had a local buyer who wanted the saw and was going to pay via MO on Friday (payday), so I needed to overnight my payment or risk losing out to the 'other guy'. WTF would a local buyer use a MO instead of cash?

Maybe I'm a bit jaded, but my spidey-senses tell me to pass on this 'deal'.

Bailey's has a MS361 on eBay. It is $100 more, but I know that the saw actually exists, and I will have some degree of protection if there is a problem.

Yeah sounds fishy. Western union offers no security at all. Ask him if you can have a fictious "friend of a friend" who is a police officer stop by and look at it and see what his reaction is.

Who knows maybe you could call the local cop shop and offer to pay an off duty officer $20 bucks to go by and insure that it is real and not stolen!

Remember a while back when there were a bunch of 3120XP's listed on ebay?? I reported a few of them that were obviously fishy.

I got a big ebay form letter saying that a bunch of people's inactive accounts have been stolen and being used by other people. Just thought this sounded JUST LIKE what that ebay scam was about. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!! (spelling might be off--its latin for let the buyer beware, or something like that)

The seller may be on the up and up, but $350 is a lot of money to me. I'm going to err on the side of caution for now. If he decides to accept PayPal, I will probably go ahead with the transaction. I'm not a big fan of PP, but they at least offer some degree of protection to both parties.

How he responds to my cop friend coming over should tell a lot!
