Since we are talking about bars how do you get the paint off them?
I like the way your bars are so shiney "Ya Smoooth'd" As far as more of the rollernose bars go. HMM My local guy hasn't looked for them yet, he claims he has some but they are buried in his clutter somewhere. I have been blown out with work and hunting. More hunting than work, so many deer, to many ducks and a never ending supply of crows.

Hi Mark, the best way to get the paint off is to get brake fluid and apply it on the paint, it will begin to bubble and come off easy, I discovered this yesterday. Another way is to just use an orbital palm sander to get it off.
Here is a recipe for the Crow Stew.
In a big caldron, place 4 crows and a 5 pound rock.
When the rock is tender the crows are ready to eat.

When my cleaning lady comes over Wens I'll aks her to leave a bottle of oven cleaner. I am sure it will be a good trade for her since she cleans out my fridge every week.

AS for brake cleaner I think I might have some of that but it might be old. If I happen to have a problem I just take it in or trade it in.

Dan I need you guys number I have the bike narrowed down and I would like to get a quote.

Normally you should be able to speak to the guy authorizing your contract and get an idea of what they going rate is, don`t be afraid to ask. Most of those guys are former tree guys themselves and know first hand what is involved, and unless they have and inappropriate interest in giving all of their work to one crew, they want to see you succeed.

I have no idea what it is like up north but down here most places require you have a journeyman lineman card before you can cut around overhead lines. That is why some of the jobs are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. They did a line here locally and spent the better part of a day clearing a few trees and still forogot to dump the chips in the ravine.
