If I hang onto mine long enough, I do plan on going back in for either a popup or cut squish. It's at 180 without either. I think a popup would be plenty sufficient in this case and not require raising the exhaust and transfers so much. I definitely plan on playing with the ignition timing.

This should let some more air in

Had to remove the restrictive "funnel", that wasn't fun or pretty.

New shroud fabbed & tig welded on. You can see the size difference of the factory one.

the heat

In this missouri heat you are dropping a few pounds or staying in the air.:msp_confused:steve

390 xp is 38 mm stroke and 55mm bore the 385/390/395 all have a 38 mm stroke "FACT"

I guess so, probably rounded off maybe? I got those numbers of Husqvarna's site so....

Yep, the 066-660 does has a longer stroke than the 395s and I believe it is 40mm, but the bore it just 54mm.

BTW, the 395 makes a lot of compression with a cut chamber, not far from too much IMO.

The 385, 390, and 395 all have a 38mm stroke the only difference is the bore.
385xp=54mm bore x 38mm stroke = 86cc
390xp=55mm bore x 38mm stroke = 88cc
395xp=56mm bore x 38mm stroke = 93cc

Timberwolf posted a pic of his work of the lower tranfers after he finished working on them a long time back. You would be surprised by how much he removed and I'm not talking about internally. Through his trials of the 395 he determined the removal of the divider gained nothing. Size is only part of the picture. If I can find the pic, I'll post it.

Great work Stumpy. What's your trans at mate? :msp_thumbup:

I dont doubt ya one bit, but how could a 92cc 660 have
54 and a 88cc 390xp have 55?
I mean the 660 is 54/40

the 660 has a 2mm longer stroke if you stroked a 385(54mm bore) crank 2mm and you would have a 91.6cc saw which is the exact same cc's of a 660. I would really like to see that build I bet I know what saw would win . I will give you a hint it starts with an H for HAHAHA huskys are always faster. LOL
