We had a good weekend getting a few logs pulled up out of the woods. All good hardwood, mostly oaks, and even a 35+ foot walnut (left log). The next move will be to our woodpile area with the backhoe and hay forks, then between the keep or might sell piles. Although we have never sold firewood, we are still thinking about selling a few logs by the cord, have to figure out how to build some type of box to fit the logs into, and then to load with. We usually cut logs at 9' and 4' when piling, so it might not be that hard to make some type of 4'x4'x9' box that will slide onto our hay forks. Anyone see a log box or some method of measuring logs for sale?
