Hey folks,

Long time listener, first time caller I guess you could say.

I'm seeking recommendations for a good quality chain break to buy, or recommendations on one not to buy. I'll use it pretty regular, and will depend on it to save me trips to town, and for paying customers. Reliability is of priority here.

Thanks

I bought one a couple of years ago from Cutter's Direct. Not bad, and I think it was on sale at the time.
Have had to replace the punch on it ($6.00 or thereabouts) once or twice, so you might want to order an extra punch no matter which brand you buy.

Yeah, I bought the spinner at the same time, and it works well as long as you put a drop of oil on the rivet.
I remember the late Gib Lane of Burks Falls, Ontario never using a spinner. He sold miles of chain over his lifetime, and he would set and peen the rivets with a hammer...tap tap tap. Never heard of anyone that had a loop that he made come apart.
