Ok, so I pulled over and took a picture of the closest stump. They all look pretty much like this one. If I was driving and saw somebody taking close up pictures of old stumps, I'd just assume they were an AS member. People look at you funny when you take pictures of stumps, or maybe it was my outfit:msp_confused:View attachment 301293

simply dunno but would guess they might have been held by a machine possibly other than that looks a bit like stump jumping but even then I'd still be tempted to think they were pulled or held by something.

My guess is an idiot cut them! :bang: If it was cut with a hot saw, the stump would look like a million splinters sticking out of the it.

That there looks allot like a locale tree service's handy work. I've had several of their "cutters" ask me if they could work for me you know cause I used to work for so and so so I know how to use a chain saw... uh huh yeah leave your number scratched in the dirt so I can call you when I get home...

My guess is that dude/dudette spent a little time on the face cut and then stood up the make the back cut but didn't bother bending over the make it level and didn't care if it went the right direction so severed all the hold wood... Just a guess.

And where they staring at you cause you where wearing a costume or still dressed like a doctor?:msp_biggrin:

dont know

Speaking for me and our company, i wouldnt let those types of cuts fly. Sure a tree service will get a rope in a tree to make for sure fire directional fall, but that doesnt mean you cut a face or notch like old people f@ck. Wheres the craftsmanship?

JMO but... like bitzer said, the guy couldn't hold his bar level..he dropped tip. So when he went to the other side and dropped his tip on the back cut his stump was all kinds of jacked up like that. Also, there was no notch put in that cut. That was a farmer cut...I'd almost bet my check on it

No offense to all the old farts...

Absolutely none taken! I'd actually like to try intercourse one more time before I die. I may have been no better at it than I am at falling, but I remember it being fun:msp_thumbsup:

Some poeple like to put the back cut above the apex of th notch

some like to put it below, I like to put it even, that cutter managed to do it all three ways with one cut. Wish I had thought of it first!
