Question about stihl models 026 and 031

I got an 026 that just keeps stalling out on me. I've had the carborater adjusted twice and it still abruptly stalls on me. I gotta choke it to get it running again. Can someone help me.

That and does anybody know where I can procure a pullcord assembly for a stihl 031?

You will need to expand on what exactly is happening.

Is this happening real hot or cold.

How long has it been running for when it happens.

Have you had the lines checked for cracks and air leaks.

Has the EU been checked also.

Fuel filter clogged? Has the carb ever been torn down and re-cleaned or had any new rebuild kits put in it? Sounds like a fuel delivery problem.
