Quick 395 ?

When did the 395 come into play, as the new bigger and better over the 394?

Tried the search but this didn't come up with anything.

It was around seven years ago...There isn't much difference.The 395 has a transparent fuel tank,and some of the 395's have side access chain tensioners,though I have two brand new ones,and they have the old style adjuster beside the guide bar.

funny you mention that...

...as I just had a customer in the other day that said he lost a 395xp in a fire that had the chain tensioner in the cover. I can't call him a liar, but I've never seen one and couldn't find any standard equipment, option, or accessory of any sort listed for such a thing in the newest available parts breakdown. If there is truly such a thing (and I'm not saying there couldn't be - Husky usually lets us know all the "news" several months after it's been out) I'd like to see it...

Mine was made in summer 00. I had it with a 32inch bar maxed out for half of today. Love running that saw.
