I was talking to an employee of a local tree service I do business with, who informed me that they were going to be filmed for a series similar to "Ax Men" starting next week.They were required to fill out a 16 page personal history questionaire.He said it was the same production company who produces Ax Men.They supposedly are paying the company for the jobs instead of the customer.He claims 4 outfits in this area,30 miles west of Boston, are going to be filmed.Anybody got any information on this?

I'm sure the advertising side of the exposure is an asset.It will be interesting to hear of the liabilities.Osha,etc.The editing variable could be a real wild card.After seeing the difference between Ax Men and Swamp logger and American Loggers(the Pelletiers from Maine)it will be interesting to see the final product .It seems that shows depicting totally idiocy and Jerry Springeresque behaviors survive while shows depicting real respectable professional operations don't survive.It hope to see them portray the skills involved with crane work/challenging take downs and not stupid idiots screwing up and screaming at each other.

Heli loggers was excellent, but only ran for one season. I found if far more enjoyable to watch than any of the other ones; particularly the ax one, or the alligator hunters, or get-rich-quick gold miner fiascos.

The TLC website got a lot of coplaints that these morons should be in big trouble for major safety violations, and the network was was being grossly irresponsible for airing them.

Man i hope they don't do this. Craigslist and a poulan pro is all they'll need to enter and become a "tree service". I can't imagine how much of a negative impact this will have on our industry.

I disagree when dog the bounty hunter came out , there wasn't a run on guys wanting to marry huge titted big mouth bleach blondes , with a badge and rubber bullet guns . Wow hearing her described kinda makes her seem kinda attractive , until you see who is the reality .

Funny thing about the short bus. The ones lining up to get on think it's a damn fine bus till they have to compete with to the worst booger eater and pants ####ter for the only seat not covered in feces and urine.
