I got a walker mower and the engine needs to be overhauled. The crank looks good but I do need to replace the rods and pistons. If anyone has and advice on the engine and parts for it I am all ears. It is a ch20s.

What a screw up on the title *Kohler.

Not a very "green" solution - but I'd throw it away and bolt on a new engne. They are very cheap if you search - Northern Tool always has good deals. By the time you add up the parts and your labor you won't be very far off the cost of a new one. And you start with a warranty!

anything internaly needed in one of those engines, its time for a new one..too much time and money to invest for a tired pos, caus a week later something else is gonna blow, generally speaking u will only get about 3k hours out of a lawnmower engine before the rod exhits the block. Walkers use specific kohler engines, make sure u have the model #. And they generally r more $$ then regular generic kohlers. Walkers r hard on their engines due to their location, they suck tons of debris in the air intake. My friends on his 2nd motor in 5 years.
