I recently resurrected a neglected Husqvarna 65, and have decided to replace the hardnose bar and chain. Is it true that Oregon is basically OEM for Husqvarna, or should I go with the name brand stuff? Its a 20" bar, and I would like to get a sprocket set up this time for the chain. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, oregon makes husky's bars and chains. And a sproket nose is a whole lot better. Hardnose bars rob power from the saw. As far as bar brands go, oregon, woodsmanpro(cannon), windsor, carlton, GB titanium are all great bars. :D

Give Tony at Amick's a call tomorrow he will set you up with a bar and chain for your saw at a fair price too.... He is probably one of the best Husky dealers around....:)

I'll do that. I really don't care if the bar is even used, as long as it mechanically sound.
