last saturday I stopped at a local ma&pop saw shop (a redmax dealer) they had a new in box 7 year old Redmax G455AVS that they forgot about on the bottom shelf under all the dust. I asked how much after I found it, they told me $200 CASH, it was supposed to sell for around $469(msrp) new 7 years ago. He also showed me that he bought it for $304.
I now have it in my garage, It seems pretty nice, it is a 45cc saw with 16"bar, adjustable oiler, a winter carb heater port that can be opened to keep the carb warm in cold weather. I wanted it to replace my craftsman 42cc saw. It seems to have enough power, but like always it could have more. I removed the muffler, but it is welded shut. all I could do is remove the screen and spread open the exhaust exit port. Any suggestions?
