Aww quitchyerbellyaching, we been a lot colder than this. Just be thankful it isn't dumping 12" of snow at the same time.

There's a few for sale around here, but the people think they're made of gold. I found this one when I went to look at a floor jack. Saw it sitting on a trailer and asked if it was for sale. Ended up being one of those deals that was to good to pass on.
A fresh -25 here this morning. Life is good.

We've got 12 degrees here in Pa. A fresh coating of the global warming dust. The wind is just starting to get some legs. Had plans to get out and cut some. Think I'm gonna drag a sled or two up to the house and call it quits for the outside stuff today.
Well as usually happens before sun up, we've dipped to a really fresh -29. But it will be a sunny day, so life is still good! I don't know about you guys but I can take the cold ( maybe not quite this cold) a lot easier then 95 and humid anymore.
Ahhh, I found that true when I lived up nort of you. The house I lived in made horrendous sounds when such temperatures were reached--winters only got to -25 during that time. The house made loud CRAACCCK noises.
Those humid summery days suck. On cold days, you can compensate with layers.
This is not good. Getting DOWN the mountain to the base has to be done on pushed around man made snow.

Been brutal here in north central pa. One of the rentals had busted pipes, turns out they ran out of $$ no oil, wish they would have told me.....glad I waited to start selling wood until 2 weeks ago, getting $250 cord delivered, $220 picked up. It's amazing that people don't know what a cord is, even after seeing this for years now. Or that they show up with a little ranger and expect to fit a cord on it! Best one was after 3 trips with a Subaru station wagon guy asked if I would just deliver a cord, he was spending more in gas than the $30 fee.
-25 here this morning, the Birkie is over and we can warm up and get rid of the snow now. March 1 is Sunday and the weather should start to moderate. The big plus side to the cold is no ticks, no black fly's and no mosquitoes.
-13° here this morning... winds are supposed to pick up as the morning progresses, lookin' for windchill around -35° mid-morning.
Gonna' warm up this afternoon into the teens and maybe even bust 30° tomorrow.

Two more days of cold and I think we may be in the clear. Ten day forecast has lows averaging in the singles to teens with highs in the 20's.
Of course it wouldn't be winter without a March madness snowstorm.

One meteorologist has the jet stream moving a bit so we will get more normal temps and maybe a bit of snow in the mountains. The snow in the mountains is badly needed because the irrigation on the dry side of the state depends on that, as do fish runs. It is going to be sad to put the shorts away and go back to raingear if we do get back to normal.
Apparently, this winter is what will be normal in 50 years according to the weather modeling apparatus. Don't move here.
