Of course it wouldn't be winter without a March madness snowstorm.
Don't know 'bout where you're at, but that March Madness Snowstorm always dumps back-breakin', equipment-wreckin', wet 'n' heavy stuff on us.
Luckily we've miss-out on the typical February ice storm... well... February ain't over yet, I'll knock-on-wood...

Coldest I have seen here was -24* with a 45mph sustained wind, 75mph gusts. No idea what that was in wind chills, just it was pretty chilly working outside. Lost power for 3 days. All of a suddent half the neighborhood was living in my house... near the wood stove. haha.
I ate darn well for that few days, all the wives had nothing much to do than cook food!

Coldest abient was -48* in Fairbanks... it does get colder there sometimes too.

From what I have seen from the weather man, the temperatures in Fairbanks and Anchorage have been warmer than ours for the last couple of weeks!
