Fracture split connecting rod. Did I pass the test?Working on a PL-7A and I noticed that the connecting rod cap looks weird, almost like it is broken... What say you?
I got mine back together, it has spark, but the only fuel I have mixed smells like varnish and looks toxic. Have to wait till Monday.

Got the saw back together, put fresh fuel mix in and it fired right up. But, the chain that worked well with the Homelite sprocket, does not seem happy with the NOS B146-B7 Remington sprocket. I guess it's a different pitch. The sprocket is slightly bigger. haha.
Update-
Sprocket #B146-B7 is for a .404. chain. 3/8 chain needs sprocket # B146-A7. Who would have thought about that? Not me, but with some clever machine work (reducing the height of the teeth on the sprocket) it now works perfectly.

Got this one for free a while ago. Good thing I tore it down, needed a new wrist pin, the old one was worn away at the bearing, strange. It also needed the auto oiler fixed with a new duckbill.
Runs and oils great now though! Seems to be a very stout little saw. has 3/8LP chain too!

One thing on the old Logmaster types is replace the barbaric Phillips drive screws with Christian style socket head.

3.3 seems pretty standard for most reduction gear drives.
