It does have the multiple slotted exhaust cover, my pl7a only has 3 or 4 slots I think the pl6 had the high flow exhaust cover that's slotted the whole way, I see blue paint maybe it was rebadged as a sears.
Whats the carburetor stamped?View attachment 1028710
And I had to pry the rusty chain off the rusty bar with a screwdriver.
No spark plug and the thread of the hole is corroded. I'm scared to look inside....
Will there be a model/serial number stamped anywhere?
It's a Tillotson... I'll take a look in the next few days.Whats the carburetor stamped?
I had a guy make up 5 carb kits on eBay for Pl7a, if you need a carb kit the guy on eBay at marine discount parts makes the best kits. I can send the info once you know exactly what you have. no primer bulb or funky fuel lines inside airbox? Thinking it's a pl6. But need to blow saw off. On the recoil housing there should be a stamp. It's a Tillotson... I'll take a look in the next few days.
Dang too bad the paint flaked off, that blue is highly desirable. Mine had the hs74a carb on it. It's probably a sears or wards saw originally. Any chance it's a pl/sl55a? I have seen those in blue. Where is the automatic oiler feed line at?
