The reason i'm home is prety bad flu temps here are -5c -12

Just tried a test Now that i've had to uninstall irfran veiw, which was really good for me to look at them. pics seem to be worse than ever.. All that saving and cute titles.. gone..all the re sizeing and rotating.. gone.. now i think there in mspaint and are bmp not jpegs. Ive had a go at about 8 programs now,i'll spend the rest of my nite uninstalling them and try to get my wifes cpu back ... Recall my other statment "had to fill out forms and will proberly get junked (mail) to death? "T-H-E-R-E H-E-R-E"

Batch functions above are very good; but standard windows tip from 3.0 on up:

Try right clicking picture, and choosing edit to get to MSPaint. Or
Hold L.shift down and R.Click for all available options if that doesn't work, or
Choose "Open With" option off of R.Click menu of either option above.

Once in MSPaint select dotted line select tool in upper R.Hand corner of tool pallete; if not avaialable or unsure where that is Ctrl.T to toggle tool box hide.

While holding down Control Key, push A (Ctrl.A.=select all); then W(Ctrl.W=Stretch/Skew).

30 Tab 30 Enter = picture maintain perspective, shrink to 30% eaxch side.

Drag drawing pallet to fit.

Ctrl.S= Save

General using MSPaint

Some versions of MSPaint don't natively handle .jpg, .gif unless you have MSOffice etc. MSPaint Fix to handle .jpg .gif

Probably something similar picutre editor came with camera package, perhaps other software that came with computer, scanner etc. also. i done lurnt stretching paint around'ere!

Well you didn't have to fill out any forms, Derek, for the stuff I recommended. Looking through this thread, do you see what I mean about there not being any decent tools in the Windows package? Gotta fetch this, download that, sign up for this, register that... Now you know why I feel handcuffed whenever I have to endure trying to do something in Windows. The typical Linux installation has probably half a dozen world-class image tools to choose from.

Did you do any more work on that batch file solution? Resizing every image in the directory automatically in the background without any interaction has to be a pretty attractive proposition, I'd think. Actually, I know it is.

G'day everyone, I hope that dident come across as being rude glens, sorry I had I go at a few programs for resizing before your assistance...Mabey this system should be called windows 1942 instead of 2000. Any way its my wifes (Toni) toy really and i seemed to have created quite a mess on this cpu. Its "hung" a few times while tonis tried to follow your tips. All her stuff has been invaded by different colored things to the point she left this morning" #$% would you like me in your shed tuning your saws"??

first problem is me, still in point and click stages. Trees by day saws by nite love my sheds
2nd is photos are on 35mm ,so buy digital camera and set to small in first place.
Take all negs back and get them redone in small size.
Wait for my brother coming down for my bithday in a few days to sort it all out..

Ive spent way to much of my down time (flu)tring to share a few photos of what we do down here instead of reading more about
Art martin for example.

Gord cant get through on that link to mihov . Have searched for 2000 version no luck.

treespider mspaint and I dident get along either...Thanks

That infran veiw (rbtree i think) was the best thing i saw in my mannnnny atempts, least is was awsome to zoom around and look at my own work very closely

thanx again for everyones assistance and remember be carefull up there... regards Derek
