I've got a 24"/25" RollematicES bar. I'm interested in a lighter bar, so I'm considering a RollematicE. My bar weighs about 3lb 12oz. Does anyone have a 24" RollematicE that they could weigh for me?

What about that light-weight Oregon bar, the PowerMatch Plus Reduced Weight bar? Do they offer that one in 24"?

My dealer said he would sell me a 25" ES for $50 (knocked 7 off of the shelf price). Does this sound high?

ES bars are heavy good quality solid steel. You can buy a Pro-lite bar for this saw but I think they only go up to 20"

I use mostly Stihl E & ES bars. But have had good luck with the GB CN40 Titanium alloy but the paint comes off quickly if thats an issue for you. I also have two Cannon Super Bars but haven't used them enough to tell if there is any advantage and if so, if it was worth the extra cost.

Are either the Cannon or GB bars laminated?

Well Freak I guess I should send you one.......:D :D

.

I could use a late Xmas present....

One of these days I'll try the GB TI bar that everyone raves about. just don't have a need for one now. Got a couple extras of various sizes hanging up now....The stihl ES bar on my 7900 is sexy and functional, and I don't have to worry about the tip blowing out or the rails wearing, like with other brands I know of...lol.
