now that you say that It does look strikingly like my 9010!

I did pass by to tell you all I found a 6800i makita for my smurf collection. I also wanted someone to spell out the differences between the 120, 120 super, 120Si, and 6800i... Port timing, stroke length, carb different, ignition limited or non? Any answers to these would help me greatly since I have a 120si, 120, 6800i x2... All in bits and pieces. I wanted to put the best stuff into the smurf to make it the best runner... Any and all help apprecitated cause all I got right now is what acres tells me... :(

Don't forget the 116si, same exact bottom end.

I have a 76 cc 116si.

I don't know very much but the 120S and 120Si cylinders will not interchange. The bottom of the 120Si jug protrudes into the crank case. Don't have any pics, sorry. Also, some have carbs with primers. Otherwise fairly similar as far as I can see.

So I'll assume that the 120 and 120S can interchange cylinders but the 120si and 6800i are a different breed...

...From pictures and tag can I assume its a 116? If so can I assume its in the mid 50cc size? Acres shows a diff. color scheme so I'm wondering if my assumptions are correct. What is diff. from the "si".

The 116 is a 60cc. The difference with the "si" versions is the injector type carburetor.

Guys I'm mainly an old Poulan fan but this saw has me intrigued. From pictures and tag can I assume its a 116? If so can I assume its in the mid 50cc size? Acres shows a diff. color scheme so I'm wondering if my assumptions are correct. What is diff. from the "si".

True experts will be along .... I think the 's' stands for 'super.' The 'i' designation means the saw has an injection carburetor, rather than one equipped with a choke flap. That one looks pretty clean.

The "i" series have better porting I believe.

And 36 mm stroke. The "S" has 36 too.

The regular 116 had one less mm bore and stroke (56cc)

The 120 had the 35mm stroke too (61cc)

Hey guys,
Just added a Makita 6800i to the collection today. Need some help.

1.) could you guys add any pics of the deals you have for this model or similar models in this thread. I'm going to try and get some new decals printed for my saw. So i need clutch cover, and recoil pics.

2.) are 6800i parts NLA? I'm needing a few things and didn't know if I should call E&E or try and find used parts. Needing chain guide plates, maybe a clutch cover (mine is manky looking - but assume nla), air filter, and few other bits and pieces.

THanks guys!
Nathan

Picked up this little pile of goodies the other day from an old Poulan/Sachs Dolmar dealer. Thought I would post up a pic or two for you guys to see. This is all NOS stuff except for the recoils in the back.

Check one of the sponsors, I ordered top covers, air filters and spikes. Can't remember from which one though?

Two years back these parts were still available, Think I got them from Kyle, was that Edge and Engine?

How bad is your clutch cover? Most just need paint, if they were used much. The 6000i is the same, I would check, they may be a few in the system.

Here is the Sachs Dolmar 134 Chainsaw!

Don't believe there is another picture of this saw posted anywhere.

I've waited 2-1/2 years for this thread to reach page 134 so I could put this picture up.:)
