I didn't know about the cc116, sorry, nice saw.

No me neither. Only ever heard them referred to as model CC and then there was a CT, both older antique saws not common over here at all.

Not sure where he is from, I thought it was just a way of describing the saw. ( cubic centimeters 116)

In his reply he stated that he was based in Ireland. Likely a lot more of those CC model saws over in Europe than on tis side of the pond. I know a few collectors that have them as complete saws.

Adrain Mc Donnel posted the pict of the old CC, they are a neat looking old saw.

Just look at how true the lines are between the clutch cover and other parts, that's Jaguar quality.

I got this old girl for zero dollars and zero cents. It does not run....yet. Overall, the saw looks used but well cared for. I have not pulled the muffler yet to peek at the piston. All the previous owner could tell me was that it was his dads and it has not run in 2-3 years. I am not complaining one little bit! I shook his hand, thanked him, and I did not even tell him the chain is on backwards. A free SD is a good deal for me any day!

I have a question for the gurus....What is up with the grey color scheme? I am not very versed in the history of the company.

So, I did a little reading and it looks like this is the Silver Star edition of the SD 112.

Can any one help me verify this?

Also, I cannot remember how to figure out the DOM, can any of the SD gurus help me out with that as well?

Here is my recently acquired 120Si. It was missing quite a bit but I got everything else I needed from forum members. Found brass threaded inserts that were gone from the tank/handle for the a/v mounts at Fastenal. Cleaned up the cylinder and put in new meteor piston. Will see if she fires tonight.

Picked this up for $50au/$35us was run Fri before storage the carb was run dry, I'll pull the muffler and check, fill up with 98ron gas 32-1 activ Castrol
