Does anyone here have one of these chainbrake covers? I cannot for the life of me figure out how it goes back together.

Thanks, but this is the older model. I have the ipl for it, but it's not detailed enough. I can't figure out where this tiny spring goes, and the brakeband will not stay open no matter what I do, so I can' fit the cover on the saw.

I just put this 111i back together. Been sitting in the shed loft for a few years with a broken handle. Also up the was a basket case 540 and a 115i missing parts. I had enough on the 540 to finish both saws and still have useable parts on the 540. The 115 is going to be up for sale soon the 111 I think I’m going to keep along side my 540 that I bought new in 04.
The 111 is a ‘95, aside from it never being cleaned and smashed handle/tank the saw cleaned up nice. I didn’t take a compression reading yet but it’s high. Doesn’t look to have a lot of hours, the vibration isolators were all solid. Has an 18”x3/8” bar and chain. I dressed the old bar up chain is Stihl rsc that has lots of life left. Looking forward to testing it.

Can anyone tell me what I have here? I just purchased this dolmar 144 #33033, can't decide whether it is a factory poulan 5500, or a poulan paint job over the 144's reddish orange. Top covers are confirmed poulan as there is no red under the green, but everywhere else including the case is red under green. Also the poulan decal does not look right to me, like someone perhaps had it made.

The bearing manufacturer is f.a.g. of germany. If you find the part # on the bearings and search by that, you will find them way cheaper. By the original maker. I have bought from the ebay guy and he is a good place to find impossible parts but it gets expensive. If you cant see the # on the bearing then hopefully you can find a parts list that has it
Use *** NJ 203, Two on 143. The133s uses 1 roller & 1 ball bearing 2603. Roller will be $25.00

Does anyone have any info on this? I think I vaguely remember seeing some pictures or a thread about this years ago.

I've spent more time than I care to admit using the search function and googling this...
)46 Stihl cylinder pretty easy , Top fins needed shortened, Can't remember if I used 046 piston or Husq. 272 the 046 muffler worked . I finished this 2-3 years ago

They interchange. I think the 003 was intended for the 343 concrete saw so it had thicker rings where the 143 had thinner rings. I could be wrong, but i do know they interchange without any issue. And both were for dolmar.
Ring thickness is a year thing , newer 143 had the thinner rings

Hey folks. I need a little help identifying what saw this bing carb goes on. I picked up this nos Bing 49b carb awhile back thinking it was for a stihl 064. Apparently I had not looked at the pictures close enough because the fittings and throttle linkage definitely don't work with an 064. First picture shows a bing 49a on the left that works with an 064. The one on the right is the bing 49b that goes to something else. The Google machine is saying it may go on a ps-9000 or makita dcs-9000. Can anyone confirm that?

This is a bit out there, but here goes...in 1975 Sachs Dolmar produced the KMS4 equipped with a Wankel rotary engine. When mine arrived a few years ago, it was missing the hand guard like a few others I have seen.

Here is a photo of a saw with the hand guard.

DolmarKMS4-3-1.jpg

Last week someone passed by with a very nice example of the KMS4 complete with the hand guard. Since the saw was going to be in the area for a while I borrowed the hand guard and passed it along to my engineer friend to create a drawing so I could make some parts with the 3D printer.

The original on my saw.

The 3D printed part in natural PLA material.

I am currently printing a few in ABS but once I know the parameters for the printed parts are O.K. I will produce them in a different material (Polymaker) that is stronger, tougher, and a bit more heat resistant. For the few of you out there with a KMS4 and no hand guard, I can help you with that.
