I can send you any measurements you might need, Mark. Picts of them also if you need that,oh that was me that posted about the 115 fitting a P/P500
.

Now that you mention it, it was you! You know I got CRS bad sometimes.

Mark

I will check that out on e-bay about a piston and I will save the old one for measurements if you want.

Jerry

Are the Partner and the Dolmar 115 related to each other in other ways or just the piston will work.

I will make the old piston available to Mark if he wants to actually fondle one.:smile2:

I am going to try to post a picture or two of the saw.

Richard, that would be great.

The Dolmar 115 is not related in any way that I know of to the Partner saws, its just us modders that will use anything that comes close to fitting between the different makes of saws. We can do a little modification to these parts to make them work better sometimes or just as a replacement for hard to find original parts. I use pistons from Stihl in the Partner 500 saws due to the OEM pistons are very scarce now. Pistons for the Dolmar and Stihls are much easier to find.

LOL,...I think I have ,sometimers, a lot more than I used to.

An old feller at work laughed when I told him I had CRS.................................and then told me to "just wait" until I progressed to CRAFT. "Can't Remember A..." :hmm3grin2orange:

401 complete!

Finally! Got 2, saved from the crusher, my neighbors dad works at the town dump and grabs saws when he can. Anyway, this one was slightly better than the other so it did it first. The saw ran fine when I got it, but A/V mounts were toast. I replaced all 4, rebuilt carb new pulse and fuel lines, new clutch cover. bar and chains are spares for an S25. I had a mini wood boss bar for it, but I didnt like the STIHL logo on a Dolmar! I would have had it done months ago, but my saw shop has just gone down the tubes for the past year, jerked me around for almost 6 months for the AV mounts! Thanks again Mark for the recommendation for a great dealer.
This saw was a breeze to work on. And Ill say that there is nothing offered by the other 2 orange brands in the 40cc class that can compete with these saws.

143 piston

Just wondering if anyone knows if a 153 piston will fit a 143. According to the specs sheets they both run a 55mm bore but the 153 has a
2mm longer stroke??:msp_unsure:
Also whether or not an oil pump or crank from another sd can be used in the 143.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks josh

I have not done a piston swap on these saws but from looking at the pistons they don`t look much alike and the parts numbers are very different, part# for the 143 is 031 132 001, for the 153 its 144 132 100. Hope someone on here might have tried this that can give a better answer.

I believe the crank & oiler should be pretty much interchangeable between the 123, 133 & 143 saws but there probably is some differences in the "Super" series models.

A 309 chop saw crank might fit as well?

I think the 143 pistons are tough to find compared to the 133 & 123. I'd like to locate a 143 P&C myself.

Our friend Randy D has like 10 of 'em. (143 P&C)

And at his asking price, he may be sitting on them for some time.

I've found a piston, a little pricey but it looks like i might have to bite the bullet and spend the dough. Haven't had any luck on the crank and oil pump though. The con rod little end has a few faint pitting marks in from water, saw had been flooded and seized.

+1
Though the carb may not. I would put a kit in a different one.

Piston isn't as bad as I anticipated, i'm just a bit picky and like things to be A1. I'm more concerned though about the slight pitting in the rod where the wrist pin runs. Not too bad, gunna see if I can clean it up. Surprisingly I think the carb may clean up ok but we'll see.
Thanks for the interest:smile2:
