Saw Shipping

Is a hard plastic carrying case, enough, protection for shipping a saw? Any thoughts? Thank You, Mike.

i just recieved my saw from dan.. he packed in an box with house insulation..
i think its a good idea..the real danger other than theft ,is the way they throw that stuff around.

House insulation?!?! I know you're not talking about fiberglass. What do they use now?

I got one saw that was wrapped in plastic, packed tightly all the way around with newspaper and the box double taped at every seam and a few more pieces wrapped clear around. The other thing I would like to have seen is the bar taped to the bottom of the box. Dozer Dan does this and it seems like a really good idea.
