My 252 decided to eat the dual belts off the clutch. I figure I might as well change the hydraulic pump belt while I'm at it.

Mine is a 2005 and Vermeer part number is 123173-001 - Description calls it A64 belt. Does that mean that it is just a standard 1/2" wide 64" long V belt?

Does anybody have a particular manufacturer that they prefer vs. stock Vermeer?

Thanks...

When I upgraded my 252 from a 25 hp to a 33 hp Kohler , I changed the clutch-side countershaft pulley to a 7" dual B width pulley .and went with two BX-65 belts I'm still using the stock 252 25 hp Ogura electric clutch and the belts fit great ,last a lot longer than the original size...I'm also very careful to throttle down to idle before engaging the clutch...
I also changed the final drive from the stock 4 groove system to a 5 groove 3vx belt and matching 5 groove pulleys...but thats another whole story...
