I have a Scag Turf TigerII with the TigerEye monitoring system. My problem is that the hour meter is illuminated as it should be but when the engine is running it does not log any hours. The engine on my mower is a Kohler ECH 749, 26.5hp, fuel injected. I have checked fuses, all checked out OK. And I have searched the internet for any mention of the problem but came up with no help. So, hopefully someone here on this forum can help.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Well, it seems that I have solved the Tigereye hour meter problem, but it was purely by accident. The ignition switch on my mower had become so sloppy where the key is inserted that the key would actually vibrate out of the switch. So I replaced the switch and cut some some grass and when I finished I happened to glance at the hour meter and it appeared to be clocking the hours again. So the next couple of times I mowed, I made a point to write down the time on the hour meter and make a note of the time I started. Each time the hour meter's hours matched to my time. So this was either a helluva coincidence or with the key hole being so sloppy there was circuit not providing voltage to the hour meter. Maybe this will help someone else who may have this problem in the future.

I traded in my ZTR on a Kubota F series diesel powered hydrostat drive front mount mower with no oars. Has a steering wheel and power steering and it's a cutting fool and much better on fuel consumption than any gas guzzling V twin, plus I run off road diesel in it and ORD at least here in Michigan is around 60 cents less than on road. With the front mount deck it's so much easier to get under trees too and there are no belts to wear out either. All drive shaft. They aren't cheap new but I bought a used one from the local fair board. A new one can set you back 27 K and JD has one as well but even mire expensive.

Gave 9 for mine and worth every penny.
