Happy weekend fellas. Be safe, have fun, and praise God.
and....Morning boys and girls.Heading out later this morning to help take down a very large Ash and a couple of pines that are not doing well. They are on my churches property. Getting some sawdust therapy!
Might even take some pix for you all.
Glad you're seeing something, hope there's some around during the season.FINALLY!!! At 7:06 am this morning we have a deer on one of our trail cameras! First one in WEEKS!!!
Can't tell what it is, as it is either moving its head or leaves are falling in front of it, but it does not matter, with the rut coming, where there are doe, there will be bucks!
(We have requested an enhanced image which may help).
It has been very alarming to me that all of our deer seemed to disappear in Oct! I suspect there is some heavy baiting going on in neighboring properties. I've heard rumors of pickup trucks full of corn being used.
More like 13 of us. Cutting, loading, hauling and unloading. 3 trailers and my flatbed. We will have a huge bonfire and several members will have lots of firewood. The will keep a couple guys busy for a bit.
I’ve found that mine, the owner data is based on who paid the property tax the last yearOne of our new guys has some for fancy hunting app. The satellite pics are borderline scary wirh detail. Only thing I've found incisistant is the property lines arnt right all the time, and the owner info isn't updated. Pretty cool non the less.
I forgot you guys run stihls up thereMore like 13 of us. Cutting, loading, hauling and unloading. 3 trailers and my flatbed. We will have a huge bonfire and several members will have lots of firewood.
We let a couple huskies run so they didn't go home with hurt feelings. The others running saws worked on the stems that were already cut off the tree and moved to one side or the other. Several just loaded and unloaded at the bonfire site. 3 of use were there for falling the Ash before everyone else showed up. All good.I forgot you guys run stihls up there.
Did you guys jam it out today.
How'd you handle cutting the large portions off with that many guys on site, wouldn't want anything flipping up/over and hurting someone.

I’d open the valve on the bottom so they don’t hold water and cut the tops off. Leave the plastic on the sides. Will keep the wood from sliding out between the bars. We use them for scrap metal. The plastic really helps keep everything insideGot me some firewood crates, $10 each. Was used for water based paint in a factory that makes fire hose connections and various related fittings. I did some plumbing work on their equipment and ended up with a connection on acquiring these. They have some solids in the bottom, water based paint. I really only want the frames for crates. Gotta brainstorm some (legal) ways to get rid of the plastic. I don't think they are much good on their own without the cages.
