Another rainstorm weekend WTF šŸ¤¬, like several in a row, MFerā€™s
Reminds me of a swim meet I was at a few years ago - the home team had posters with the girl's first names and last initials...

Go Em F., go!!! After I saw it, I could not stop laughing.

And yes, this weekend rain really hampers my outdoor work, or at least my desire to work outdoors.

Lol

I wanted to split some wood today. just another rainy Saturday. As one pile shrinks the other gets larger. The rounds pile was out even with the tree recently. My plan is to split all of this before next year. The split pile is about 10 feet high.

FINALLY!!! At 7:06 am this morning we have a deer on one of our trail cameras! First one in WEEKS!!!

Can't tell what it is, as it is either moving its head or leaves are falling in front of it, but it does not matter, with the rut coming, where there are doe, there will be bucks!

(We have requested an enhanced image which may help).

It has been very alarming to me that all of our deer seemed to disappear in Oct! I suspect there is some heavy baiting going on in neighboring properties. I've heard rumors of pickup trucks full of corn being used.

This hunting app is wild!View attachment 1121435
One of our new guys has some for fancy hunting app. The satellite pics are borderline scary wirh detail. Only thing I've found incisistant is the property lines arnt right all the time, and the owner info isn't updated. Pretty cool non the less.

Or, the deer have unionized and you will soon be given a list of their demands before they will hang around.

Now, about that scrounging...

Scrounge on
.
Yeah, looks like a nice little hill to work on there. Good thing you been doing all that cross training to stay in shape for firewooding :happybanana:.
Should make some nice firewood for ya :blob2:.
Right on there Cowboy! ~

Rogue for weight training... cross d.... šŸš«ā— :muscle:

out walking pups yesterday and fell upon a cool curb scrounge. some Rogue fitness items. just tossed out to the curb! their new plate racks. (weights) mod-2 version. high quality construction. it caught my eye. so arouns 1 am... i tippy toed down the street with my dually wb and snatched them. some ideas for use come to mind. maybe a mobile firewood rack! šŸ¤© got 2 and 2 wall racks, too. new Rogues lists them at $330 each, but i seen the 310# racks at $190, too. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø well made stuff, but pricey! a T and cap can run $100! :surprised3: thinking a $10,000 garage gym would be easy to tally up! :envy:

yup!! lying there.... out on the curb ~

I had that exact truck back in the day, 1970 that I paid $1,000 for in either 1979 or 80. I cut and hauled my share of firewood with it too.....it was a good old truck until I let my brother and Jack Daniels use it one night.
hi bi -
i got one of them tales, too! happened over 50 yrs ago! and despite fair-market-payback, etc... i am still p'zed about it!
similar, no booze, but results the same!

Some eye candy for you classic car (+ Ford) guys: FYI, I had a (very rare) factory 428 SCJ with the 4:30 drag pack option. Fully restored I've seen them auction for over 1/2 million. They don't know how many of them were produced (approx 2,200), as no one kept track of how many of these became GT-500 KRs (and how many were specifically made for that purpose).

The 1968 GT-500 KRs were real performers, the other (1967 + 1968) GT-500s were running 2 - 4 barrel carbs through 390 heads ... just a stupid idea. It was all just for show.

Wish I had known about this in advance!

yup, and it was a Ford! :nofunny:

Got me some firewood crates, $10 each. Was used for water based paint in a factory that makes fire hose connections and various related fittings. I did some plumbing work on their equipment and ended up with a connection on acquiring these. They have some solids in the bottom, water based paint. I really only want the frames for crates. Gotta brainstorm some (legal) ways to get rid of the plastic. I don't think they are much good on their own without the cages.

Most of the hunting apps get their property line info from tax maps. Which are usually not accurate either. York Co has a disclaimer you agree to before downloading the maps saying they may not be used for anything legal like property line disputes. I had to show the A-holes that lease ground to hunt next to me after they threatened to take my treestand they said was on their leased ground per the hunting app they were using. I also showed them the paperwork from my surveyor I got when we bought the property.

So me and the oldest nephew headed to the farm to check our deer rifles. I brought the .223 so I could check zero for coyotes. Afterwards we glasses the fields looking for woodchucks. Seen one, but he saw us first. But we did see a large healthy herd of deer. No bucks, but the ladies make great buck bait once the rut kicks. View attachment 1121410
nice!

watched Modern Pioneering show last nite. recorded it. all the ladies gathered to hang out for a weekend of cooking... deer! shoot, guy, clean, process... prepare and cook. interesting...

the ladies fried up some venison meat balls in cast fry pan. and made it into spaghetti....
